Clarify if you trust results of polls which you won: BJP to Cong | India News
NEW DELHI: BJP on Tuesday accused Congress of duplicity for selectively targeting the Election Commission over unfavourable electoral results and trying to undermine India’s electoral system after failing to win public support within the current democratic framework.BJP’s Smriti Irani said Congress should clarify whether it also distrusted EC results in Keralam, Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, where they are in office, and Jharkhand, where JMM-Congress is in government. As Congress continued attacking CEC Gyanesh Kumar over the SIR and demanded its suspension, Irani asked why it wanted deceased people and duplicate names retained on poll rolls. She said the EC had rebutted every allegation, but Congress “continues spreading falsehood”.

BJP spokesperson Siddharth Yadav accused Congress of a U-turn, saying it had earlier raised concerns about duplicate and deceased voters in Andhra, Rajasthan and Keralam. “Now that those names have been deleted, they are doing politics of convenience for its own political benefits.”
