In an interview with News18, Kritika had also spoken about handling the attention and criticism that come with being a public figure. She said that, in her experience, the positive response from audiences outweighed the negativity on her social media pages.“I’m not bothered by it, to be honest. Overwhelmingly, there is more love than negativity, at least on my pages. It’s not like I can monitor myself for my views or my behaviour. I don’t know if I can alter myself for perception. And that’s just how life also is,” she said. Her remarks reflect her approach to public scrutiny, with the actor suggesting that she does not want to change her views or behaviour simply to manage how others perceive her.

Beyond her return to X, Kritika has several projects in the pipeline. The actor is set to headline ‘Dumbbell’, an upcoming drama directed by debutant Pushaan Mukherjee, who has previously worked as a writer on ‘Abhay’, the Kunal Kemmu-starrer. That’s something I recognise in Gulrukh as well. She has vulnerability, ambition, intelligence, and strength. That complexity makes her so compelling to me,” she said. The actor has also indicated that Gulrukh’s journey will evolve in the next season, with the character gaining a stronger sense of agency and a clearer understanding of what she wants. Further plot details and a release date for ‘Matka King 2’ have yet to be announced.
