Tiger Shroff car firing case: Mumbai court sends 12th accused Amar to police custody till November 6 over alleged money transfers

A Mumbai court on Saturday sent Amar, the 12th accused in the firing incident on actor Tiger Shroff’s car, to police custody till November 6. He was arrested in Haryana’s Sonipat. The Mumbai Police are now looking closely at the money trail linked to the case.

Court order and arrest

Earlier in the day, the Mumbai Police produced Amar before the court, which remanded him until November 6. He was picked up from Rohna village in Sonipat. On Thursday, a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court had sent 11 other accused to police custody till the same date.

Alleged role in money transfers

Officials say Amar allegedly transferred money online that was used to commit the crime. The funds were reportedly spent on several things, including buying a motorcycle and booking hotel rooms linked to the case.

Link with Kunal and Radha

Preliminary investigation shows that Amar is a friend and neighbour of Kunal, who was arrested earlier. Police say Kunal allegedly sent Rs 40,000 to Amar’s bank account. Amar then allegedly transferred Rs 12,000 to the account of Radha, another accused arrested earlier, on Kunal’s instructions. Police are probing these transactions to understand their purpose and the connections among the accused.

Family says he is innocent

Amar studied up to Class 10 and works at a supplement shop. His parents reportedly earn a living through daily-wage labour. His family has claimed that he is innocent and has been falsely implicated.

Sonipat in focus

Nine of the 12 arrested accused reportedly belong to Sonipat, making the district a key focus of the investigation. Police are examining the financial dealings and personal links among the accused to establish the sequence of events and the role of each suspect.
