Yuva Sangam Phase 6: Ministry of Education begins registrations for exchange visits to IITs, IIMs; here’s how to apply
The Ministry of Education has opened online registrations for Yuva Sangam Phase VI, under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.According to the official press release issued by the Ministry, Yuva Sangam is a youth exchange programme launched by the Department of Higher Education, Government of India, to help young people understand the culture, traditions, and development journey of different States and Union Territories.The programme aims to strengthen emotional bonding and mutual understanding among youth and promote the idea of Unity in Diversity through structured exposure visits between paired states and Union Territories.
Who can apply for Yuva Sangam Phase 6?
As per the Ministry of Education, the following candidates are eligible:
- Youth aged 18 to 30 years
- Students of
Higher Education Institutions - National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers
- Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) volunteers
- Young professionals
How to apply for Yuva Sangam Phase 6
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official portals:

Applicants must register using their APAAR ID. Last date to apply is March 18, 2026, till 11:59 PM.
What will selected participants get?
According to the Ministry’s press release:
- Selected candidates will take part in five to seven-day educational and cultural tours
- Travel days are not included in the tour duration
- Visits will be organised between paired States and Union Territories
- Tours will be hosted by 22 identified Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across India
ANI quoted the Ministry saying that since the launch of Yuva Sangam, more than 6,000 youth and coordinators have already participated in the programme, while Phase V alone received over 46,000 registrations, showing strong interest among young Indians.
Themes of Yuva Sangam Phase 6
The programme is designed around five key themes, also called the 5 Ps:
- Paryatan – Tourism
- Parampara – Traditions and Culture
- Pragati – Development and Governance
- Paraspar Sampark – People-to-People Connect
- Prodyogiki – Technology and Innovation
As stated in the press release, these themes help participants gain first-hand experience of India’s cultural heritage, governance models, technological growth, and community life, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
