Indira Krishnan, known for playing Ranbir Kapoor’s mother-in-law in ‘Animal’, has teamed up with the actor again for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological epic ‘Ramayana’. Though they had a fraught on-screen relationship in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, their equation is completely different in ‘Ramayana’. Now, she steps into the role of Kaushalya, mother to Lord Ram, played by Ranbir. Recently, Indira posted on social media to shower him with praise, sharing a cheerful photo with him on her Instagram.

The actress shares a strong rapport with Ranbir and has frequently voiced her admiration for him in interviews. On March 13, Indira shared a photo with him, apparently snapped on the sets of ‘Ramayana’. Ranbir has reportedly begun shooting for Part 2. He sports a clean-shaven look in the image. Alongside the picture, she added a touching note praising the actor. Meanwhile, recent reports emerged that Ranbir has begun shooting Part 2 in Mumbai, with Sunny Deol and Yash set to join him shortly. If the buzz holds true, ‘Ramayana Part 2’ will cover events following Sita’s abduction. Sai Pallavi stars as Sita in the film. Sunny Deol takes on Hanuman, while Yash portrays Ravana. Part 1 is slated for a Diwali release this year, and Part 2 arrives in 2027.
