Sharing his message, he said, “Every scene carries someone’s dream. The leak before release is truly painful. Please support by not sharing it.” Vinoth also appealed to audiences not to spread the leaked footage and instead support the film by watching it in theatres. His response has gone viral, with a substantial number of fans echoing his sentiments and demanding more robust measures to combat piracy.
Dhananjayan and Sibiraj urge fans to avoid piracy
Film producer and analyst Dhananjayan Govind also strongly condemned the leak through his X (Twitter) page. He said he was shocked to see key scenes like the introduction and climax being circulated online and described the situation as devastating for the makers. Dhananjayan urged the producers to move to court immediately and remove all pirated links before millions watch the leaked version. Actor Sibiraj also reacted with concern, stating that he was disturbed by the news of the leak. He mentioned the fact that making a movie requires an incredible amount of time, money, and effort; thus, he openly asked the fans not to watch or spread the pirated stuff.
Censor issues and a star-studded cast keep ‘Jana Nayagan’ in focus
Apart from the leak controversy, there have been delays concerning the film with censorship. The film was earlier planned for a Pongal release but was sent back for re-examination after objections from the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers later resubmitted the film after making necessary cuts, and it is currently under review.
