UK Board Class 10 Result 2026: 1.08 lakh appeared, girls outperform boys; pass percentage crosses 92%
The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education has officially declared the results of UK Board Class 10th (High School) and Class 12th 2026. The pass percentage has stood at 92.10% higher than last year. The number of students who took the exam was 1,12,266, while the total number of students who passed the exam was 1,00,373. Akshat Gopal has topped the exam with a score of 98.20%. Ishant Kothari and Bhumika have got the second rank in the 10th Class results 2026. Yogesh Joshi bagged third place in the merit list, scoring 97.80% (489/500 marks), emphasising yet again how competitive the merit list is this time around.
Year-on-year increase in pass percentage
Overall pass percentage for the year 2026 comes out to be 92.10%, which represents an improvement of 1.33 percentage points over 2025.
Girls outperform boys
Girls once again outshone boys in the examination. The pass percentage for girls reached 96.07%, while boys recorded 88.03%, indicating a significant performance gap in favour of female students.
Institutional candidates perform better
The results also underline disparities in categories. Institutional candidates recorded a pass percentage of 92.47%, whereas individual candidates stood at 65.05%, suggesting the advantage of structured academic environments.
Merit list and division-wise results
A total of 7,935 students (7.28%) secured honours, scoring above 75%. In terms of divisions:
- Students in the First Division: 30,734 (28.20%)
- Students in the Second Division: 46,708 (42.86%)
- Students in the Third Division: 14,986 (13.75%)
Moreover, 207 students made it to the state merit list (Top 25%), indicating high academic brilliance.
District-wise performance and some more details
Among the districts, Bageshwar performed best with a pass percentage of 96.98%, making it the best-performing district in 2026.In relation to the improvement examinations, the board provided data for the second improvement examination held in 2024, which showed 382 registrations, with a pass percentage of 68.
