Re NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key out: See link to check and raise objections
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday released the provisional answer key for the Re NEET UG 2026 re-examination conducted on June 21. Along with the answer key, the agency has also opened the answer key challenge window for candidates.According to a public notice issued by NTA, candidates can challenge the provisional answer key online from June 25 to June 28 by paying a processing fee of Rs 200 per question. The fee will be refunded in full if a challenge is accepted by the expert panel.Explaining the decision, NTA said it has launched the answer key challenge process at the same time as the publication of the provisional answer keys, even though scanning of OMR answer sheets is still in progress.“This has been done deliberately, in the interest of transparency, so that every candidate has an early and open opportunity to review the provisional answer keys for all four sets and to flag any question that, in their view, deserves a fresh look,” the agency said.NTA said that by allowing expert review of challenges to begin alongside OMR scanning, instead of waiting for the scanning process to finish, it aims to publish the final answer key and declare the result at the earliest possible date.Candidates have also been advised to challenge questions only under their own Question Paper Series Code, which is printed on the cover of the test booklet taken home after the examination. NTA said that if a challenge is accepted, the correction will be applied uniformly to all candidates across all four question paper sets. After the challenge window closes, all objections will be reviewed by subject experts. If a challenge is found correct, the provisional answer key will be revised and the final answer key will be used to evaluate responses and prepare the results.“The Answer Key finalised after the challenge will be treated as final. No challenge/grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after closure of Challenge Window/declaration of result will be entertained,” the notice said.
