UPSSSC Auditor recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will close the online application process for the Auditor and Assistant Accountant Main Examination 2026 today, August 3, 2026. Eligible candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 must complete their applications through the official UPSSSC portal before the deadline.The recruitment drive has been announced under Advertisement No. 14-Exam/2026 for 1,957 vacancies in different departments. Candidates who complete the application process by today will be able to make corrections during the correction window available until August 10, 2026, as per the commission’s schedule.Eligibility criteria for Auditor and Assistant Accountant postsOnly candidates who qualified the UPSSSC PET-2025 examination are eligible to apply for the Main Examination.Applicants must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce or Accountancy, such as B.Com or M.Com. Candidates are also required to possess an O Level computer course qualification.The age limit for applicants is 21 to 40 years as on July 1, 2026. Application fee and submission processThe online processing fee for candidates applying for the recruitment is Rs 25. The fee can be paid through online payment modes.Candidates can submit their applications by following these steps:Step 1: Visit the official UPSSSC website and complete the online registration process.Step 2: Fill in the required personal, educational and eligibility details.Step 3: Upload necessary information and verify the application form.Step 4: Pay the prescribed online processing fee.Step 5: Submit the final application form and keep a copy for future reference.Women, Ex-Servicemen, EWS, Divyangjan and Outstanding Sportsperson candidates will pay fees according to their respective categories. The Main Examination fee will be collected separately from candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination before admit card issuance.Selection process and exam patternThe selection process will include PET-2025 based shortlisting, the Main Written Examination, Document Verification and Medical Examination.The Main Examination will consist of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The duration of the examination will be two hours. A negative marking penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will apply for each incorrect answer.The question paper will cover subjects including Auditing, Final Accounts, Basic Accounting Principles, Double Accounting System, Banking-related concepts, Computer and Information Technology, Taxation, Arithmetic and General Knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh.
