This spotting comes shortly after the makers unveiled a series of character posters introducing the ensemble cast. Batwara 1947, in theatres from 14th August.”The posters showcase Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in period costumes. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, ‘Batwara 1947’ marks his reunion with Sunny Deol after nearly three decades. The actor-director duo previously delivered acclaimed films such as ‘Ghayal’ (1990), ‘Damini’ (1993), and ‘Ghatak’ (1996).As part of the film’s multi-city promotional tour, Sunny Deol and his son Karan Deol recently visited Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib in Bihar to seek blessings before the nationwide release. The father-son duo offered prayers at the revered birthplace of the tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.‘Batwara 1947’ is scheduled to release in theatres across India on August 14, 2026. The film will clash with the movie ‘The End of Oak Street’, which also releases in India on the same weekend, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
