The deep red Mysore silk saree that stole the spotlight

For the reception, Rashmika wore a custom ensemble from JADE by MK. The label is known for detailed handwork, and this outfit was no different. The saree featured delicate silver and gold taar embroidery inspired by traditional Indian patterns.

The craft behind the work comes from the artisans of Chanakya International, an institution that has been preserving heritage embroidery techniques for decades. So the piece wasn’t just beautiful – it carried a bit of history in its threads.

The highlight, though, was the deep red Mysore silk saree itself. Red has always been a favourite bridal shade, and this one felt timeless. Rich gold zari ran along the border, giving the saree that classic festive glow.

But there was also a detail many people might miss at first glance. The design quietly featured the Gandaberunda motif – the two-headed mythical bird associated with Mysore royalty. It appeared within the embroidery in silver taar plated with gold. A small touch, but one that subtly connected the look to Rashmika’s roots.
