UP’s innings got off to a shaky start as captain Aryan Juyal fell cheaply, trapped lbw by Chetan Sakariya for a duck in the third over. Sakariya struck again soon after to remove Rituraj Sharma, leaving UP two down inside the first 10 overs. Despite the early blows, Goswami played with authority, holding one end together while keeping the scoreboard moving.

Goswami found solid support from Priyam Garg, and the pair added momentum through the middle overs with crisp strokeplay and smart running. Garg contributed a fluent 35 off 39 balls before being dismissed by Prerak Mankad, who also removed skipper Rinku Singh shortly after to peg UP back at 134 for 4.

Goswami continued to anchor the innings, bringing up a well-paced half-century and later accelerating with a series of boundaries. His innings of 88 off 82 balls, featuring 12 fours, ended when he was stumped off Prasanta Rana, but by then UP had built a strong platform at 179 for 5.

That set the stage for Sameer Rizvi, who took charge in the final phase. Rizvi batted with maturity and power, finding gaps at will and clearing the ropes when required. He stitched together vital partnerships with Prashant Veer, Vipraj Nigam and Zeeshan Ansari, ensuring UP maintained a strong run rate in the death overs.

Rizvi remained unbeaten on 88 off 77 balls, striking 10 fours and two sixes, while Veer chipped in with a valuable 30. Late cameos from Ansari (20 off 11) further boosted the total past the 300 mark.

For Saurashtra, Sakariya was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Mankad and Ankur Panwar claimed two apiece. However, Rizvi’s late surge ensured Uttar Pradesh finished with a formidable total on the board.
