Camila Morrone is joining the star-studded cast of ‘Miami Vice ’85’, with the actor set to co-star alongside Michael B Jordan and Austin Butler in Joseph Kosinski’s upcoming crime saga.

Morrone confirmed the news by sharing the Deadline report and wrote, “Meet your new Vice squad.”According to reports, the actress has been cast opposite Butler and will play his love interest. The star reportedly underwent final chemistry tests with Butler over the weekend, with an offer following shortly afterwards.Kosinski is directing the film, based on a script by Dan Gilroy. Morrone’s addition to the cast comes after Alden Ehrenreich and Whitney Peak recently joined the starry lineup.

As per the report, ‘Miami Vice ’85 explores the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami in an all-new version of Miami Vice, inspired by the pilot episode of the landmark Universal Television series that influenced culture and set the style of everything from fashion to filmmaking.’

The film will be shot for IMAX and is scheduled to hit theatres on May 19, 2028. Production is expected to begin later this year.
