As Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is finally set to release in theatres on July 23, the makers have begun sharing the film’s promotional content. Recently, the team shared the lyrical video of a new song titled ‘Adiye En Poonthene’.

Song ‘Adiye En Poonthene’

‘Adiye En Poonthene’ is an emotional song that shows the bond between a father and his daughter. The track features stills from the film where Vijay and Mamitha Baiju can be seen in touching moments. It shows a small journey about how Mamitha Baiju’s character grows from a small girl into a teenager and young adult, with her father figure Vijay always by her side.The two-minute, two-second music video features the song composed and sung by Anirudh Ravichander. The lyrics were written by Karthik Netha.

About ‘Jana Nayagan’

Speaking about the film, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is Vijay’s 69th and final film before entering full-time politics. His character in the film is named Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, whose initials are TVK, the same as his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.The film shows his character as a former official who adopts a young girl named Viji. He wants her to grow into a brave and independent woman. Even though she is afraid of violence, he encourages her to join the forces.The film received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The film also includes Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju as the female leads and Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. It also features Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani and Sunil in key roles.
