MHT CET CAP round 3: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the third list under the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for BE and B.Tech admissions for the academic year 2026-27. A total of 1,16,690 students have received admission opportunities in engineering colleges across the state.According to the CET Cell, 2,04,987 students submitted their college preferences for the third round and were considered for allotment. Of those receiving an admission opportunity, 11,505 students have been offered an engineering college for the first time, while 1,05,185 students received upgraded allotments under the betterment option.9,766 students get colleges from top six preferencesThe third CAP list has allotted 9,766 students a college corresponding to one of their top six preferences. Their admissions have been classified as auto-frozen.Students with auto-frozen allotments must accept admission at the college assigned to them. If they decline the allotted seat, they will not be eligible to participate in the fourth CAP round. They can instead participate directly in the subsequent institutional round.Students must report to colleges by August 28Students allotted seats in the third round must physically report to their respective colleges from August 25 to August 28, 2026. They are required to submit the necessary documents and pay the prescribed admission fees to confirm their seats.The CET Cell will subsequently publish the tentative vacancy position for the fourth CAP round on August 29, 2026.

2,03,270 engineering seats available statewideA total of 2,03,270 seats were available across Maharashtra for BE and B.Tech admissions this year. During the first and second CAP rounds, 62,609 students had secured admission to engineering colleges.The third-round allotment provides further admission opportunities to students who submitted preferences through the CAP process.
