Advance bookings for ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ have officially opened, giving fans their first chance to secure tickets for the much-awaited big-screen adaptation of the popular Amazon Prime Original. The series is now being expanded into a standalone theatrical film, bringing the crime saga to a wider audience.Ticket prices vary significantly across major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. Regular shows are available from around Rs 149, while premium screenings can go as high as Rs 1,800. In Mumbai and several other cities, tickets for standard-day shows are largely priced between Rs 149 and Rs 500.The steepest price currently listed is at DLF Mall of India in Noida, where a night-show ticket is priced at Rs 1,800, according to BookMyShow listings.With bookings now underway, early trade expectations suggest that the film could make a strong start at the box office. Trade tracker Sacnilk has projected a first-day India net collection in the range of Rs 15–20 crore.“From a box-office perspective, Mirzapur: The Movie is expected to target a Day 1 opening in the Rs 15–20 crore India net range at this stage. A stronger-than-expected advance booking response could push the film beyond the Rs 20 crore mark, while a softer booking trend would leave it in the low-to-mid teens,” Sacnilk predicted.Meanwhile, Ali Fazal has offered fans a shortcut for revisiting the Mirzapur storyline before watching the film. Speaking at a promotional event in Bihar, the actor clarified that viewers do not necessarily have to binge all three seasons to understand the movie. According to him, watching the first six episodes of Season 1 should be enough to reconnect with the story.“Everyone must go home and watch Series 1, but only till episode 6. From episode 6 the story of the movie starts and revolves.”The film’s teaser promises a familiar mix of power struggles, violence and revenge, while also bringing fresh faces into the chaotic world of Mirzapur. Actors such as Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar are among the new additions to the franchise.They join returning favourites including Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Sheeba Chaddha and Shweta Tripathi. Ali Fazal once again steps into the role of Guddu Bhaiya, who is determined to expand his influence and build an empire across Purvanchal in Uttar Pradesh.Bloodshed, brutality and shifting alliances have long been central to the Mirzapur universe, and the theatrical format appears set to take that intensity several notches higher.
