Manchester City continued their winning run in the Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday, thanks to two goals from Erling Haaland. The win kept City unbeaten with seven victories from seven matches at the top of the table, despite their recent Champions League setback. Phil Foden also scored, while Ipswich fought back through Daizen Maeda and a late penalty from Zian Flemming.

Chelsea and Liverpool secure important wins

Chelsea defeated Everton 2-0, with Pedro Neto scoring both goals. He opened the scoring just 43 seconds into the second half before adding another in the 90th minute. However, the win was overshadowed by a serious head injury to goalkeeper Emi Martinez, who was taken to hospital for precautionary tests.“What we know is he (Martinez) left the stadium conscious and right now he is in the hospital doing precautionary tests,” Alonso said. “It was concussion but more than that I saw only one clip. Hopefully it won’t be too bad but we need to wait.”Liverpool came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 away from home. Keane Lewis-Potter put Brentford ahead, but Victor Munoz equalised after the hosts were reduced to 10 men following Yehor Yarmolyuk’s red card. Alexander Isak then scored the winning goal. Brentford finished with nine players after Vitaly Janelt received a second yellow card.

Fulham end their winless run

Fulham secured their first league victory of the season by beating Hull City 1-0. Alex Iwobi scored in the 33rd minute, helping new manager Alvaro Arbeloa earn a much-needed win and move the club up to 15th place.Liverpool climbed to fifth with 12 points, while Chelsea moved into fourth with 13 points. Meanwhile, Manchester City continue to face uncertainty over their appeal against allegations of breaching 114 Premier League financial rules, which the club has consistently denied.
